Mutual Conversation Connections
    * Charlene Br-ndt -- Keeping safe at home with her Boston terrier, Benji, Charlene is one of our best prayer warriors.  If you or someone you love is on our prayer list, Charlene is praying for you or them, and many others!   She also regularly looks in on a few friends stuck at home or living in adult care homes in  town (visits now limited by the virus restrictions) and sends out many cards for birthdays and anniversaries and other holidays.  She still lives in the home she and husband Jim built when they came to Moses Lake from Iowa decades ago, and with good neighbors looking in on her and delivering groceris, she is "blessed."  She and Jim (who joined their infant daughter in heaven 3 years ago after a battle with sarcoma) have 4 grown daughters, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great-granddaughters.  Charlene says "I survive by all my happy memories -- the good times."  When asked how she is doing these days, she quoted her mother -- "Able to kick, but not too high!"  and looking forward to coming back to church sometime soon.
  * Ken & Karen En-s came to our area from Bothell, where Karen worked in the church office for 17 years and Ken was an engineer
(roads, water, etc)They enjoy golfing with friends, and have mostly stayed within the bouds of their neighborhood around the Warden Golf Course this spring/summer, going "from one neighbor to the next."   Sort of like an extended family group.  Ken now wears his engineer hat as the watermaster/operator for their local water district there in the deveolpment.   They have a daughter and a son, and 4 grandchildren aged 18 months to 15 years old.  This week Karen was teaching their 9-yr-old granddaugher to sew, making a small quilt together, and she regularly checks in with her 95-yr old aunt.  They are ready for life to return to normal but seem to be
keeping a good attitude about it all --  "This too shall pass."

    * Gordon Ellest-d --
Gordon is Evie's brother-in-law and Tom's uncle.  With a good number of family in town or fairly close by, it has been a bit of a frustrating time for Gordon, as Brookdale-Hearthstone has had to keep the virus out by keeping visitors out.  Fortunaely Wendy works there as cook (I am unsure of their exact relationship, cousin perhaps?) and he has his phone and is able to connect that way.  Before the virus came to town, Gordon was a regular on Sundays and at the Wednesday Bible study.   He and his wife Margie enjoyed over 69 years of marriage, starting out farming in Minnesota where they met, and later moving to the Basin.   Hunting, camping, and fishing were some favorite things to do together, and wintering in Arizona.  They had 3 children  and 4 grandchildren, and Gordon now also has one great-granddaughter.    After a long battle with Parkinson's disease, Margie joined their 3 children and 2 of their grandchildren in heaven in 2018.   He has faced some harships in this life but Gordon's faith is unwavering.  (Gordon's phone number has changed from what is printed in the member directory -- if you need an update, contact Pastor Lou.)
>> If you have some news or insights to share on what you have been doing since we last saw you in person, we are interested!  Just call or reply to this email... or I will hunt you down    --Debbie
