Operation Christmas Child
We have boxes, labels, and directions at the church, or you can use your own shoebox, or I can get one to you if you respond to this email. Collection dates are Nov. 16-23, so there is not a lot of time if you would like to particpate in this program.  Lake City Foursquare Church is again a collection point for the Operation Christmas Child boxes,   The Samaritan Purse website (samaritanspurse.org) has gift suggestions, packing instructions, and even links for you to do this all online.  Bring your packed shoebox back to Living Word Sunday, Nov. 15 or Nov. 22, or Wednesday Nov. 18 during Bible study, and I will get them to Lake City Church on the 23rd -- or you can deliver it directly to Lake City Church on one of the pick-up dates, 10 am to noon and 1 to 4 PM Nov. 16-23.        --Debbie

Seeking Donations, Volunteers for Thanksgiving Meals
Paul and Kris Emers-n at Moses Lake Grocrey Outlet have been asked to supply Thanksgiving Dinner for 30 at risk youth, between the ages of 17 and 24, experiencing homelessness, some living in tents.  The trick to this request is that the food must be pre-made and packaged into individual containers due to COVID.  Turkeys will be donated by MLGO, but help is needed with the rest of the meal and packaging.  If you can help it would be greatly appreciated.  A list of needed items and, if needed, links to where they can be purchased for donation will be posted (not available yet). You can purchase and donate at the store or you can make a cash donation through the MLGO Paypal account and your donations will be used to purchase items.  Also seeking volunteers to help cook and package meals on November 24, 2020 (They are in the process of finding a commercial kitchen for meal prep). Please let Kris know if you can help, (phone available on request)

A Service of Thanksgiving
Tuesday, November 24 -- Join us for a time of praise and giving thanks to the One from whom all our blessings flow.  7:00 - 8:00, in the sanctuary or online at Facebook Live.

The first Sunday in ADVENT is November 29th.  We are seeking people (families, couples, friends, and/or individuals)  to participate in the Lighting of the Advent Candle Litany at the beginning of the services during the 4 weeks of Advent, as well as Christmas Eve.  A sign up sheet is on the fellowship hall island -- please look for it and choose your Sunday.  All readings and prayers are provided; you just provide the voice(s).
